Privacy Policy — Perqon

This Privacy Policy describes how the Perqon application (the mobile app available on Google Play and the App Store, as well as the website perqon.me) collects, uses, and protects information about its users. Perqon is a service for digital reward programs that connect customers with local businesses.

Data we collect

Account data

When you register as a customer or a business, we collect:

email address,
first and last name,
for business accounts: venue name, city, address, tax ID (or an equivalent number for Serbia), logo, and venue description.

Transaction data

When you scan a fiscal receipt, Perqon sends the receipt URL to the tax authority (Montenegro: mapr.tax.gov.me; Serbia: suf.purs.gov.rs) for verification. After verification we store the receipt amount, date, currency, issuer tax ID, and receipt number solely to award points and prevent double redemption. We do not collect receipt line items.

Camera

The app requests camera access solely to scan QR codes on fiscal receipts and QR codes for redeeming rewards. Camera images are not stored, are not sent to the server, and are not analyzed outside the local device — the only data that leaves the phone is the text contained in the QR code.

Photo gallery

Business users can pick an image from the gallery for the venue logo or cover photo. Those images are uploaded to our servers and displayed publicly as part of the venue profile.

Technical data

Server logs temporarily record the IP address, device type, and request time for diagnostics and abuse protection. Logs are deleted after 30 days.

Cookies

The website perqon.me uses only necessary cookies required for core functions:

Login session — when a business or admin signs in, we use a secure session cookie (NextAuth) to remember the login across pages. Without this cookie you cannot stay signed in.
Language choice — we remember whether you chose Montenegrin or English so you do not have to choose it on every visit.

We do not use cookies for analytics, marketing, or cross-site user tracking. We do not load Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar tools. We do not share data with advertising networks.

How we use data

to authenticate and maintain your account;
to calculate and display Perqon points;
to show earned rewards to customers and to confirm reward redemption by business staff;
to display business profiles, menus, and posts to other app users;
to protect against fraud and double use of receipts.

Data sharing

Perqon does not sell user data and does not share it with third parties for marketing. Data is shared solely with:

tax authorities of Montenegro and Serbia — when verifying a fiscal receipt;
the business whose QR code you scanned — the business sees that you are a member of their reward program, the receipt amount, and the awarded points;
hosting providers (DigitalOcean, Expo) — to the extent necessary to run the service.

Data retention

We keep account data while the account is active. When you request account deletion (by sending a request to perqon@gmail.com), we delete all personal data within 30 days. Anonymized transaction data may be retained to meet tax and accounting obligations.

Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR and the Personal Data Protection Acts of Montenegro and Serbia, you have the right to:

request a copy of all data we hold about you;
request correction of inaccurate data;
request deletion of your account and all personal data;
withdraw consent to data processing.

You can start account deletion yourself on the page /account-delete. You will need access to the email address linked to the account.

Children

Perqon is not intended for persons under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we determine that we have collected a child's data, we will delete it without delay.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will announce significant changes in the app and on this page, and the date at the top will change. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the new policy.
